Search & GEO
SEO and GEO are becoming one discovery system.
Search is no longer a single results page. Buyers move between traditional search, AI summaries, review platforms and trusted industry sources before they ever speak to sales. The practical response is not a separate playbook for every channel—it is a stronger source of truth.
Start with entities, not keywords
Keywords still reveal demand, but they are a weak foundation for complex B2B topics. Begin by defining the products, problems, industries, locations and people your company can discuss with real authority.
Each important entity needs a clear home on the site, consistent naming and explicit relationships to the other entities around it. That structure helps people navigate and gives machines fewer reasons to misinterpret your business.
Make every important claim easy to verify
A useful page says what is true, shows why it is true and makes the supporting evidence easy to locate. Specific examples, named methods, comparison tables, author context and relevant structured data all improve trust.
- State the question or buyer problem near the top of the page.
- Use descriptive headings that still make sense outside the page layout.
- Support claims with first-party evidence, examples or clearly attributed sources.
- Keep facts consistent across your website and third-party profiles.
Measure discovery as a journey
Rankings alone cannot show whether the right buyer understood the message. Combine search visibility with qualified entrances, assisted conversions, branded demand and sales feedback. For AI discovery, record where the company is cited, which source pages are used and whether those visits progress.
The goal is not visibility everywhere. It is a durable path from a buyer question to a credible answer and then to a useful next step.
